I strongly believe that you should expect a wedding photographer to meet all your needs. After all it’s your day not mine. A wedding photographer should provide a service that is bespoke to each individual bride. Wedding photography is unique in a sense that I capture everything from telling a story to creating unique moments that only ever happen once in a life time.
Wedding photography is all about PLANNING, I love to build up a good rapport with my couples before wedding, spending time a few weeks before big day so I can get a good idea of all possibilities on your big day.
beauty of wedding photography is that no wedding is ever same; every location, every venue, every couple, every mode of transport chosen all helps create a unique story of images that only you will have and treasure forever.
As a wedding photographer it is important to have a good understanding of what each individual couple likes. This again all comes down to prior planning and building rapport I have already touched on.
What can you expect beforehand?
It generally starts with a consultation, here I find out all little details of your wedding day, talk about what special requests you may have and what you have already got in mind for your marriage photography. Discuss what group and formal photos you may require, look through my sample wedding albums and generally get to know each other.
What you can expect on day?
I cover your whole wedding no matter which collection you choose. This generally starts with bridal preparations and goes through to first dance.
The whole process is about helping to create a fun experience which really captures story of your day. I create a mixture of natural shots and work quickly and smoothly through more set-up artist shots and group formal shots.
I like to cover bridal preparations before meet guys. During this period I’ll be capturing detail shots of your wedding dress, flowers, engagement ring and any little detail I can find to enable me to tell story of your wedding day. I then meet guys at church and take candid shots of boys and guests arriving.
During wedding ceremony I am unobtrusive and none disturbing for it’s your most important and meaningful days of your life together.
After your ceremony is finished and I have created some photos of you signing register and leaving venue I try to capture big group photo of everyone, working as a team we can make them quick and fun. After you have had some time to mingle with your guests, I will begin with other group photos, parents, close family and whatever else we will have discussed beforehand.
That’s traditional side of things finished, I now like to move on to creative photos, fun with bridal party, romantic photography with you both and all ideas we will have discussed before your wedding.
After we have finished with all creative photos with you both I’ll move on to details of your wedding, photographing everything from cake through to table decorations and everything else that I feel is needed to build up story of your day in wedding album.
After detailed photos are taken I will take some lovely natural photos of you and your guests entering room for wedding breakfast. I’ll capture speeches and all great moments of laughter that will be lined up for you.
I generally leave you to relax and enjoy your wedding breakfast and meet up again for first dance.
PLEASE NOTE – All of this is just to give you an insight into how day can usually run in terms of wedding photography. I totally understand that it’s your wedding day and that each wedding is unique.
What you can expect after your wedding?
It takes me around five days to process and edit your wedding photos, applying some of my special techniques that just add that final touch to everything.
As soon as you have chosen your final images I will design your sample album which will give you a good idea of how everything will/can look in your finished wedding album.
(If you chose CD only collection with full copyright release, your photos will be processed and ready for you to take home after five days).
